Novel Project Memikat Suami (PMS) is the first novel by Hanina Abdullah yang I read and I rasa penulis punya first baby. Dari first I baca the penghargaan section dah I can see that the writer knows how to convey thoughts into words. Susunan ayat dan penggunaan bahasa yang superb. Bahasa Inggeris pun di tahap yang paling cemerlang because, I don't see any kecacatan dalam penggunaan bahasa Inggeris.

Dari segi plot, sangat simple and yet complicated. I still think this story bertemakan kahwin paksa, sebab kedua-dua watak tied the knot bukan dengan kerelaan yang 100%. Zahrain Alimin is obviously against the marriage... Nawwal Husna seems redha but still ada rasa terpaksa sebab dia babah dia. However, unlike the usual kahwin paksa acts, kedua-dua peneraju utama tidak mengharamkan sesuatu yang memang dah halal and at least one pihak ada usaha untuk make things work. The other one pulak, walaupun tak suka, tapi dia bukan type yang marah for every little things...

PMS menceritakan kisah cinta di antara Nawwal Husna dan Zahrain Alimin yang telah diikat dengan ikatan perkahwinan hasil dari campur tangan orang-orang tua mereka, namely Puan Sri Maimun. Pada mulanya, both the to-be bride and to-be groom decided not to agree with the scheme, tapi oleh sebab worry dengan kesihatan babahnya, Husna decided to accept the proposal.

Dengan tunjuk ajar daripada kedua orang kakaknya, Husna aimed to tackle husband dia. So many 18SX tips yang diturunkan daripada master-ji dan sidekicknya. Dalam masa yang sama, si suami tekad untuk membuatkan Husna menyesal sebab dia setuju dengan perkahwinan ini.

I really like all the characters in this novel. Even watak-watak yang selalunya kena ignore kepentingan dia pun I suka.

Nawwal Husna, anak ke-empat daripada 4 orang adik beradik, merupakan seorang perempuan yang very adventurous. She's the type of girl yang fail to notice guys, dan mempunyai kawan yang ramai. I tak tau la... but somehow, I rasa penulis mempunyai ciri-ciri peneraju utama ne. She seems to know so much about surviving at foreign places and she knows so much of the things that are very normal for the foreigners. She agrees to marry Zahrain Alimin sebab babah dia, so we can see that she's a good daughter. She acknowledges that she's a wife, and despite being forced into the marriage, she made an effort to become a perfect wife. Dia ikut cakap kakak-kakaknya supaya memikat suaminya sendiri dengan berpakaian seksi di rumah, and cuba untuk menarik perhatian suami dengan layanan first class.

Zahrain Alimin pada mulanya digambarkan seperti seorang playboy but as we carried on reading, it seems like he's not really that type of guy. He only thinks that he needs the model type lady to be his companion mainly because dia nak build up good reputation. Naturally, bila dia dijodohkan dengan perempuan yang dia memang tak kenal and ditambah dengan gambaran that Nawwal Husna is the type yang tak tahu bergaya, dia disagrees with his mother choice for him. Tapi, last-last dia kahwin juga dengan pilihan mamanya. Sejak mula lagi dia ada his own plans for the marriage, and one of it is berpoligami. Ugh... I memang allergic dengan that word. Secara tak sedar, dia mula menyenangi kehadiran isterinya tu... and over the time, dia TERjatuh cinta dengan isterinya sendiri...

Puan Sri Maimun, BFF Nawwal Husna yang berjiwa muda. One thing yang I sangat suka dengan novel ini... ia melihatkan keakraban seorang ibu mertua dan menantu. As mentioned tadi, I see that Nawwal Husna is a good daughter, and setelah berkahwin dengan Zahrain, she sees her husband's mother as her own mother. Dia tak treat mama dia macam seorang stranger, but I can see dia treat mamanya sama seperti dia treat ummi dia. I respect this relationship and the closeness between menantu and ibu mertua has never been this great! I rasa this relation is one of the strengths of this story.

I also enjoy reading Tan Sri Zainal's part in the story. He mostly became the supporter of his wife and daughter-in-law. I seriously laughed so hard semasa dia evesdropped on Husna's "Tiger show" bit.

I really like the fact that the story started as a projek untuk memikat suami, and in the end, it changes to projek memikat semula ister. Brilliant!

Seriously a perfect story and a very much recommended novel. A must have if you're a romance novel collector!

I can't wait for the drama adaptation!
