Dear diary, I feel itchy all over...

Dear diary,

I feel itchy all over my body. My mum bought seafood today... It looks like prawn, but it looks different and somehow it looks similar to udang galah tapi macam sama speciesnya. As soon as I smell my mum's cooking... aduh, gatal badan I. huhu. I think it's called Satak (sounds like katak). You can google it... but enough about that. :'S

Anyways... I'm currently watching Adam & Hawa from the very beginning... and I'm on episode 25 now. So far, so good. Great, in fact. The similarities between the drama and novel are almost 100%. I guess, when you're an avid fan of a certain novel, you expected everything to be the same. This drama does "it" for me.

Whenever I watch this drama, it made me think of Breaking Dawn part 2. I'm so excited to see the movie. I saw some reviews and somehow I managed to avoid the huge spoiler I heard fans have been rambling about. For this last piece, I want to be surprised. I do know some things to be expected; Kristen's finally showed some emotions, the creepy CGI baby, the right castings... :)

Tata for now

P.S: I watched AIM 19 last night. Siti Nurhaliza was awesome!! aaand the pairing hosts are funny! LOL

Here's a poster I edited... :P

Adam & Hawa diadaptasi ke Drama Bersiri

I'm in a mood for Novel adaptation dramas! Been watching drama, Adam & Hawa, a drama adaptation of a popular novel by Aisya Sofea. I suka la sangat-sangat drama Adam & Hawa ne, sebab tak banyak perubahan yang terdapat di dalam drama ne dengan apa yang ada tertulis di dalam novel. So far, the drama is staying true to the book; but I don't know about the future episodes...

I heard, ramai yang tak puas hati dengan Nadia Nissa, pelakon yang memainkan watak Ain Hawani ne, tapi since I knew that she was handpicked by the author herself, so I don't want to judge until I see the drama... and I rasa the choice is perfect. Aaron Aziz, is of course, a brilliant choice!

Sinopsis Novel Adam & Hawa:

Namun tersalah perhitungan apabila Ain Hawani menjadi mangsa korban.

------

Sekarang ne, since I'm into Malay dramas... I decided to watch BICARA HATI. I'm up to episode 4 now, and so far... I'm very annoyed by the drama... and then I realised that the drama was directed by Osman Ali, who directed the movie, Ombak Rindu. Hmm... Is it just a coincidence, or did I really hate it when this guy is involved with any movie/drama project I'm trying to like... Ugh!!

New Template!

Dear Diary,

Guess what? I just updated my blog with a brand new template. I downloaded the XML document somewhere around the net and it took quite long to decide which theme I'd like (yah... I changed the template hundreds of time for the last three days).

I decided to go with my usual choice, which is DARK and somewhat CREEPY (my favorite word for this month, apparently). Since I, kinda, fall in love with my "Hari Raya" eyes... I guess it'd be awesome to use them as my background image. Loved the top (drop down) menu! Thanks to my BRILLIANT baby sister for fixing it for me. :D

Just for the record, I can spell CREATIVE and CRAZY correctly. I just like to use K instead of C for the blog's title (It's unique, I guess).

By the way, I just started watching the US TV Series, Psych these past few days. I doubt I'll be as fanatic as I was with Smallville with this new (for me!) show, but I'm certainly thinking of watching the entire episodes... and apparently, I'm about to watch a LOT of dramas this coming week (since I'm currently downloading a bunch of Malay dramas -- novel adaptations)... Hmm...

Adios!

Weird Day...

Dear Diary,

I had a very weird day. Some might say this is a productive day, but I really doubt my parents would agree. My friend somehow got me interested in a game. And... I'm not much of a gamer, really. The last time I got really into a game was when my sister (or was it my brother) introduced me to an adventurous game called Suikoden. I think that was the second part of the adventure. I remember naming my main character "Zong Po" because I was really into a Hong Kong drama when that happened. I didn't play fairly, I'm afraid... I asked my sister or brother for assistance the whole time. :P

Back to that game thing... It started when my friend, Nurul, was holding onto my tablet (my brother gave it to me, yay!) and she complained that every techno stuff I own are lacking of one thing that she apparently loves, which is game. So I taught her how to download games into my tablet. She ended up downloading a couple of games (It's really more than a couple, really) and I ended up trying one of those games which seems to be her favourite. It's called "Fruit Slice".

Nurul got to play the game shortly after the Isra' Mikraj event ended in our workplace, and I think it was around 10ish a. m. She got the highest score of 998. I've been trying to beat that score and look how it ends up up until a few minutes ago:

I'm not lying when I said I'm not a gamer. Been trying to beat the highest score since 12 p. m. until now (which is about 11.25 p. m). Not a very productive day for me. I even stole some time playing this game while at work. Yikes!

On a much happier note, my baby sister is now on her way to Brunei! So excited to see her again. And by that, I don't mean seeing her on screen. It's F2F baby!

I'm signing off now. Salam. :D

I Just Watched "Don't Look-Look"

I just got back from the cinema. Mi Amor and I watched "Jangan Pandang-Pandang", which stars Zizan, Sara and some other actors/actresses who I don't really know, and I don't have any urge to research who they are. I do know the veteran actors in this: Azhar Sulaiman (my mother loves him!) and Jaafar Onn.

I think this is the first time that I found myself liking Zizan as an actor. I think he acted beautifully in Jangan Pandang-Pandang; there are times when I think he over-acted, though he was decent in most of the scenes, especially throughout the first half of the movie.

I'm giving this movie a 3 out of 5 stars. I was surprised to see the decent acting by all the actors involved except this one actor who I have NEVER seen before. It's rare to see Malaysian actors in their best portrayal these days, especially when it comes to comedy. The "comedians" tend to over-exaggerate their tones and actions which annoys me a great deal.

This is the part where people should be aware that I'm about to blurt out spoilers for those who haven't seen this movie.

Anyways... Back to the actor who I have NEVER seen before... He wore leather jacket throughout the movie... he played the guy who I think (if I'm not mistaken) was one of Marsha's brother. Ugh! I've never wanted to throttle a guy this much! He's SOOOO ANNOYING!

The storyline at the beginning was good, but after the part when this annoying guy showed up, the progress dramatically went downhill. Everything make no sense at all... especially the part where it was revealed that Marsha and Bob (Azhar Sulaiman) were siblings. What's the point of having the scene where Marsha was caught "stealing" the box by Bob and had her afraid of this Bob person when he was her BROTHER... and NOBODY was there to witness their facade. Big, big plot hole.

Nothing much to say really. I really do think that Zizan is the reason why I enjoyed this movie. Best effort by this comedian, so far. Well done! *thumbs up*

Saving Hope Under The "HQ" Microscope

I got goosebumps! Once again, Durance Magazine has new dirts on Saving Hope and I'm getting pretty addictive with this show... and it hasn't even been aired! And as it turned out, it's not just about Erica! How astounding is that?!

According to DM, TBI has an article on the show. It's interesting... and it makes me even more eager for the premiere.

The following is an extract from the article:

Many TV critics and other observers complain that medical dramas tend to cover the same ground. “Whether the characters are dressed in blue or white, it’s always the same format,” says Bertrand Villegas of TV consultancy The Wit.
.........
“Part of what I thought was really insteresting about this, and a different way into a medical drama, was this whole idea of faith,” says Noreen Halpern, the outgoing president of dramatic programming for eOne Television.
.........
“Medical shows have a history of succeeding. There are great life and death stakes built into the fabric of a medical show. But then you add this twist of faith and spiriatuality — Is it just about science? Is it just about medicine? — And I think that is a really interesting way into a very traditional franchise.”

To read the complete article, you can go to Durance Magazine post HERE.

Well... The only Medical drama I watched was a Hong Kong TV Series. My parents used to watch ER ages ago, and they seemed to really like it. Then again, my dad is also quite impressed with House; he only watch it whenever he happens to see it while he flips through channels. My dad isn't a romance drama type of a person, so... *shrugs*

Any-who... For some reasons, I got the feeling that this show is going to be huge. Just a hunch! Could it be my ultimate favorite show? Could it get me fanatic over a TV show once again? The romantic aspect easily capture a big part my heart... but if the main relationship goes down to the triangle route like I mentioned in my previous post, I'd be very pissed. Seriously, I'm sailing on THAT ship again! We'll see...

By the way, DM has a High Quality poster available on their webbie. It's soooo... pretty! Two Ericas and two Michaels. Just fabulous!

From Novels to the Big Screen

I went to the cinema twice in a row. My Love and I treated ourselves with “John Carter” last night and just a few hours earlier, we’ve watched another movie called “The Hunger Games”. Needless to say, these two movies are… unique in their own ways given the fact that they both are of the same genre of fiction -- sci-fi action (such a popular genre!).

Another interesting similarity and one fact which somewhat annoys me quite a bit -- these two movies are based on novels. Such a popular concept these days, isn’t it? Making films out of detailed novels. I do think that novel writers tend to be very creative when it comes to the plot or story-telling; however, the logic is always out of this world, which audience/readers can easily accept. It’s really impossible for the movie to get all the plot right so the results of these film adaptations could go either way; it can get horribly wrong, or it can be decent, if not great.

Fact is… Most novels these days are written in series, at least those that I’ve read, which means that there are always going to be sequel(s). It’s like watching TV series, but the wait are months/year apart.

I’m an avid Julie Garwood and Nora Roberts fan, so I’m waiting to see if their romance novel will get their chances on the big screen. I know some of Nora Roberts’ novels have already been adapted into movies, but I’m still hoping to see one on the cinema instead of my TV, or Laptop. I’m not counting on the romance part though. Mind you… these two authors have sense of humor and they respect the bond that ties people together, whether by blood, marriage or others…
...
...

Will Erica Durance be getting involved with this kind of project? She nearly gets that... but for some reason, Kristin Kreuk replaced her in that project Erica was supposed to be part of. Sheesh!

Anyways… I’m still contemplating whether I should try writing reviews again… hmm.

Issue Ombak Rindu Lagi...

Sebagai seorang Librarian, menyusun Newspaper merupakan salah satu tugas harian. I always ended up membacanya, or at least scan je. I read something interesting about Ombak Rindu on yesterday's issue of Utusan Malaysia.

Written by Abd. Aziz Itar, the article mengulas mengenai fenomena filem yang diadaptasi daripada novel dimana ianya menyentuh about the financial and copyright issue of Ombak Rindu.

The fact is... the film "Ombak Rindu" existed solely because of the author and of course the book publisher, however, they were paid RM4000 je sebagai bayaran untuk mengangkat novel tu ke filem, yang mana Penulis mendapat 40% daripada jumlah tersebut. So far, that's all they got from the filmmaker, and probably will stay that way, unless they have some sort of agreement about the film income.

In another article from the December 12th's issue of the same newspaper, ada menyatakan pindaan akta yang akan menguntungkan pengiat seni (termasuk penulis). However, for Ombak Rindu, nasi dah menjadi poridge. Nampaknya penulis dan penerbit novel tak akan mendapat apa - apa keuntungan dari filem tersebut.

Walaupun saya tak brapa minat Fauziah Ashari, I still feel sorry for her. I can just imagine how depressed she feels. The filmmaker did not do her book justice (which somehow indicated that the story in the novel is not perfect enough), and now they gain so much from her novel and she couldn't even win her case if she claims.

Felt Neglected...

I've been spending my free leisure time online; I've fallen for so many internet forums and one stood out for me compared to the others. However, as of late, the network has turned strange to me. The environment no longer grab my interested. I've a job, and yet I feel like I don't have it at all, not with these new colors flying around me. One said I should do this, one said I shouldn't be doing so. One said it like command, and one said it like my words are just words. *sighs*...

I'm So Seriously Pissed!

As it turned out; a good life tends to be short-lived. My interest for US version of X Factor is fastly deteriorating, and after the first live show, I never turned it on again.

When it comes to UK X Factor... Marcus and Craig are my musics; the only two who never disappoint me since day 1. Miss Janet Devlin has turned from Angel to somewhat a child with a tantrum like devil. I haven't watched the latest live show of UK X Factor, but I do know the result. Seriously! I thought Craig was going to win the entire show (or second only to Marcus) but as it turned out, he got the least number of vote compared to all the other contestant. What's wrong with you UK people?!!

Amelia Lily, who just got back in, got through the next round which I think is very unfair. Why do they have the urge to take back the contestant who already been voted out by the judges??!! It's like licking your own spit. Seriously! If Marcus got off the game, I'll completely turn off X Factor UK.

Continuous X Factor Episodes: Life is Good!

It's obvious that I'm so into X Factor these days. At first, I don't think I'm going to bother watching the US version but apparently, I couldn't help myself. I was curious about the talent (and the judges) in the US...

I don't have much to say about the US X Factor. Most of the contestants are pretty forgettable to me, other than the girl who was the first to sing on the first episode of the Audition show, the guy who just got our of rehab and the 17 years old girl who doesn't look 17 at all. Oh, and the girl with HUGE lips. However, as memorable their performances were, I don't remember their name and I don't want to be bothered searching for their name.

I wonder why Cheryl Cole backed out; but Nicole is a nice addition. She's fun, energetic and very funny. Nicole and Paula got the categories that they didn't seem to care about... I wonder how they deal with their categories. With that said, I want team Cowell to win.

Needless to say, I think the US version isn't as exciting as the UK version... so far.

I found myself watching the UK version so many times; one time is simply NOT enough. My early favorites are Janet Devlin, Johnny Robinson, Craig Colton, Marcus Collins, Sami Brookes and The Keys. Janet and Craig didn't disappoint me with their performances so far; I've mixed feelings with the others.

I loved Craig Colton's performance from the Judges House. I found myself listening to it again, and again, and again... and his other performances too.

Janet Devlin has the best tones out of all the girls, in my opinion. However, I would like to hear her singing a fast number and see how she does.

Sami and Johnny could have done better; their voices are fine, but their outfits are NOT and it's a distraction.

The Keys didn't make it, however, I'm loving the fact that Charlie made it to the new formed group. The Risk's first performance was in the first live show and I'm so very impressed with them. They all compliment each other well. I can't say much about the other groups.

I think Gary Barlow did great so far. He's opinionated and very honest. I found myself annoyed with Tulisa who got offended easily. I'm always looking forward to Gary and Kelly's comments... the other two; not so much. As much as I love Kelly, I think she's showing an obvious admiration towards Janet and it's not fair for the other girls. Maybe it's just me... and like Kelly, I want to thump Louis, for different reasons though. He CHOSE Goldie over Sami?!!!! and Jonjo over TERRY?!!! I was dreading the fact that Sami got in because Goldie backed off. Seriously, I think Louis is DEAF. After the initial decision he made, I found myself not caring about him OR his understudy...

I love the time set for these two shows. In my time, I get to watch X Factor UK on Monday and Tuesday... then I get to continue watching X Factor US on Thursday and Friday.

The Good Old Small Days

It's been 5 months since the final episode of Smallville aired, and I'm still into it. For some strange reasons, I found myself typing "Smallville" whenever I tried to browse for stuff on the internet. I always ended up asking why I did what I did. I was excited for Smallville to end before the show ended, and now I found myself missing it; I'd watch an episode once a week, at the very least.

Smallville was probably one of the best Sci-Fi TV shows ever created, and for that reason, I'm always grateful for the duos, Al Gough and Miles Millar. I was never into a TV series the way I was with Smallville... However, I don't really think that it's the show that got me into the zone; it was more due to the incredible casts and the amazing chemistry between its casts. Without a doubt, it was when Erica Durance came into the cast (in season 4) that I truly became a fanatic.

It was such a good old days... For the past 6 years, I've been anticipating a new episode of Smallville every week, and when the hiatus period came, I'd go into internet forums and speculate with the rest of Smallville fans; I'd go to DevotedtoSmallville for a peaceful discussion, I'd go to Kryptonsite for a debate or two and I'd go to DivineIntervention for my Clois gushing.

Clois... it's short/shipper name for Clark and Lois. It's one of the best ship ever!! I like the Christopher & Margot's Clois... Teri & Dean's Clois was good too. I have only one comment on Brandon & Kate's Clois: BORING. The fact that there wasn't much Clois in Superman Returns didn't help... That aside, Tom & Erica's Clois is the BEST Clois there is! The chemistry was AMAZING. I would want to see them working together again. In a movie or something. They'd be great in a romantic comedy.

To me, nothing can top what Tom and Erica had... I'm on a few other TV shows now, however, Tomerica's Clois is still the best ship there is. There's a few that came close to them, but we'll get back to that next time.

Onto my personal life: I have a new job. I'm a library assistant for the government. I have no formal training in the library course, but so far, it wasn't hard for me to catch up on everything. My seniors are all nice; they're older (My parents' age, probably older) than me, but they're all decent...

I'm watching X Factor UK with my sister as I type this. So, I'm gonna get back focusing on that now. Salam.

In a Dilemma

I'm in a dilemma since yesterday. Who would have thought that buying a handphone would take up much of your thoughts. You work, and you think about it... You're about to sleep and it crept into your head when it's so rare for you to actually think of anything when you're about to go to bed. By you, I meant me.

I'm all alone in my kitchen now. (sigh) Need to clean up the house yet again...

P.S: I really am addicted to Adele's song now.

I'm calling you...

As I stared at the very busy scenery while I drove few minutes ago, a thought crept into my very lazy head. I'm thinking of calling this new blog... Ness.

It's funny because everything that has been happening since this morning was all random. I never thought that I'd start blogging (I've had a blog before but NEVER actually make it into something... very personal) and now I'm doing it. It's funny that the name I thought of, kind of, being deprived from the name Nessie which is short for Renesmee, who happens to be one of my favorite characters in “Breaking Dawn”.

Anyways… So, now this blog is called Ness. I’m going be talking to you soon. 

P. S: My writing is getting rusty. I’ve been writing in Malay since I started working about five months ago, which is a great thing too. However, I think I’m better in English writing than in Malay, not that I’m great at it at all; I just don’t care so much about making grammar mistake here and there. It’d be less embarrassing ‘cause I'm not talking in my Mother language (shrugs).

Lets do this again

I am familiar with blogger before I created this new blog, however, I was never so keen writing about my personal life in public. My old blog was basically where I would pour my heart out about my passion, which was Smallville. Now that Smallville is already over, I'd like to try and talk about other stuff.

It's 1.15 P.M in Brunei now, and I'm extremely tired. I'm on my lunch break now and I'm not planning on feeding myself for another 5 hours or so. I really need to lose some more weight.

Signing off now - try to listen to more songs by Adele. I'm addicted.
